Pronouns are used in place of nouns to provide more specific meaning. Prepositions show the relationship between the noun or pronoun and other words in a sentence. Conjunctions are used to connect words, phrases, clauses, or sentences. Understanding the different parts of speech is essential to forming grammatically correct sentences.
