The content of this unit focused upon the roles of teachers and the types of students. It is important for teachers to be able move between the various roles in the classroom in order to keep students interested and motivated to learn. Students that are motivated are more likely to be good students and have an easier time learning the skills being taught. A good teacher possesses a good knowledge of the subject, is patient and caring, is sensitive (so as not to embarrass students when correcting them), motivates his/her students, is able to have a comfortable and good rapport with the students, is inclusive, and is able to give help to students individually to improve their areas of particular weakness. Teaching styles should be tailored to suit not only the level of the students, but also the age of the students.
