Unit 15 gave a full review of evaluation and testing in schools. I think placement tests, progress tests and diagnostic tests are very important for a teacher because they give him an overview of students' knowledge. Practice tests are good for the students if they are going to take an external examination in order to continue their education abroad. In my experience, teachers didn't pay attention to practice tests at all which made me prepare for the external examinations by myself without having an idea what I'm going to take. A teacher’s help in order to prepare for an external exam is always good for a student.
