Lesson 4 covers the Present Tenses and entails the the form, the usages, common mistakes, and teaching ideas to execute these grammar points to my students. Present simple form with affirmative structure is subject + base form [+s/es] an example would be "i work", "she works", "it works"...etc. Negative structure is subject + Aux. Verb do + not + base form. Example would be " I don't work", "we don't work", "you don't work"...etc. Question structure is Aux. verb do + subject + base form. Example would be "Do i work?", "Do you work?", "Do they work?"...etc.
Sample activate stages for teaching ideas include questionnaires, guess my profession, and information gap. Other tenses include Present countinuos tense is made with the present simple tense aux. verb and the present particle of the main verb. My greatest take away from this lesson is identifying where my students will make mistakes and error and learning to not just correct them, but try and help them discover the correct answer. While anticipating a student answer with my next lesson to let my students better understand the material.
