Unit 8 covers the future tenses and all of it's complex areas of the english language. This unit covers the seven most common future tenses in the english language. They are the Future simple, Future continuous, Future perfect. Future prefect continuouns, Be going or going to future, Present simple, And Present continuouns. Be going future tense and Present continuous are the most frequently used of the seven future tenses. Be going future tense is used for intensions, prediction based on evidence, and plans or decisions made before speaking. An example would be an individual stating that he/she is not going to do something. As well as stating " I think it's going to rain later". It's form for this tense is verb to be in the present, plus going to, plus base form of verb. Present continuous is used for definite arrangements and for decisions and plans without a time frame. Examples can be "I'm going for a drink later" and "I'm leaving you". There is a side note this lesson teaches you which is to teach the Future simple along side with the Be going future tense due to the frequent confusion students have. So by teaching these tenses together student can appreciate the differences.
