Although I have learnt conditionals and reported speech at secondary school, I completely forgot the specific terms such as “Zero Conditional”, “First Conditional”, and “Second Conditional”. Without knowing these terms, it will be difficult to explain the grammar rules to the learners. I am very happy to have read this unit because it helps me remember all the important academic terms. Also, the unit serves as a very useful review on the grammatical rules of the reported speech, showing me the way to teach learners the changing of tenses when using reported speech. After reading this unit, I become more confident in explaining the conditionals and the reported speech the learners.
