This unit introduces the methodologies and techniques for teaching beginners, individual students, children, business English/ English for specific purposes, as well as the monolingual and the multilingual class. It is very interesting to read the many different points that the teacher should be careful of when teaching different special groups of learners. I have never thought that teaching beginners would require special teaching skills and psychology. Teaching individual students is also very hard because the teacher must be prepared to communicate with only one single learner in the lesson. It requires a very different time management from that in a 10-people class. All in all, this unit provides me with very useful information which helps and guides me to think about what kind of learners do I really want to focus on and teach.
