This unit discussed materials that will be used during instruction of the English language. It not only discussed various materials, such as course books, authentic materials, and created materials, but it provided several examples and illustrations of each, while also delving into the pros, cons, and uses surrounding each kind of material. Given that my teaching style tends to lean towards focusing on practical application, I was especially encouraged to see all of the ways in which authentic materials can be used to benefit students during their learning experiences.
