One new thing that I have learnt is that it is necessary to check the test to make sure that all questions are present so that I am not marked down for a question that was not available for me to answer. In this unit, I have learned some useful tips about teaching students how to speak accurately and fluently through games and classroom activities. I have also learned several useful techniques I intend to implement on encouraging my students to interact in class, which I think is useful because many Chinese students are very shy. Now I don't teach writing skills and my lessons have very limited or no writing requirements, because I am a ‘Conversational English Teacher’ but it was useful to learn these things because I do plan on teaching in the future and perhaps my future job will require me to teach my students spelling, punctuation, creative writing or assign homework assignments.
