This third unit of the course was about the different popular teaching methodologies that have existed through the years, and about teaching methods. It described all the different methodologies and stated the pros and cons of each one, which I found to be very informative. It also introduced the ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) methodology, which is what the TEFL is based on. I learned a lot about the way students learn and process information and the various methods that help in their own ways. I also learned about how to follow the ESA structure for planning lessons, and found all the activity examples listed to be very useful and inspiring.
