I believe that, after some time you study and speak a foreign language, you start to choose words without thinking of the grammar - in the sense that you choose words properly without having to think too much. I believe that it is likely that this phenomenon will drive the speaker to forget the rules at the very basis of the language. This happens with native speakers as well. For example, many foreign friends have asked me clarifications concerning the Italian language. I have realized that, more often than I thought, I could not truly explain why a word or a sentence is built in a certain way. You simply absorb the language and, even if you can speak and write it correctly, you would need to review its grammar in order to recall the rules. That is why I have found this Unit extremely useful.
