The content of this unit focused on conditionals and reported speech. Conditional sentences are phrases that use a clause beginning in "if" which has conditions that must be met in order for the main clause to be deemed true. The main conditionals include the Zero, First, Second, Third, and Mixed Conditional forms. Reported speech indicates that a phrase or statement is indirect and a relay of information from a different source rather than the primary speaker. I have learned the differences between Mixed and Third conditional statements through this unit which was something that I was rather unclear on before. The main difference being that third conditional statements have impossible consequences or outcomes while mixed conditional statements focus on hypothetical past actions and their hypothetical present outcomes.
