This unit tells us how to teach vocabulary, grammar and language functions. It teaches to choose the proper approach according to the content and target of the lesson. For example for grammar or vocabulary lesson it is better to choose “straight arrow” ESA method while for teaching language functions “boomerang” or “patchwork” should be chosen. Unit 7 provides detailed descriptions of teaching vocabulary, grammar and language functions and gives examples of typical ESA lessons and ideas for classroom activities.
