In this unit, I learnt about the rules, usage and common mistakes/errors when using past tense. In this unit, the forms of past tense I learnt about are past simple, past continuous, past perfect, and past perfect continuous. As with unit 4 (present tense), I found the examples of activities used to teach these concepts to students to be useful in the sense that they supply me with ideas for future lesson planning. While intuitive, distinguishing the actual differences in usages between the different forms of past tense forms was quite tricky. I think the distinctions were tricky because the differences seem quite nuanced.
