Useful lesson! 12 tenses of verbs is so much but i'm glad we're breaking it down four by four. This lesson I learned present tense, perfect present, present continuous/progressive, and present perfect continuous/progressive. This will be useful for when my advanced students ask me grammar questions (not many ask using the grammar jargon, but some have already). It's also useful for teaching with Japanese ESL teachers because they are fluent in grammar jargon and it will be easy to communicate difficult grammar points with them if I know the ins-and-outs of these terms. I think the activities this lesson gave me aren't going to as relevant because I teach more practical english lessons, but if I need to make warm-up activities for 3rd year students (who I help with writing) this will be useful. Summary for myself: english verbs have 3 tenses, each tense has 4 aspects each for a total of twelve tenses. Each tense also has a affirmative, negative, and question form. math math math. I need to review what the defintion of a past participle is in my grammar book.
