In this unit we talked about the importance of Fluency and Accuracy. I learned they are both of equal importance. We talked about the various classroom speaking activities. There are three categories, controlled, guided and creative. Controlled activities are accuracy based and the teacher controls the language. Guided activities are also activity based but with more input from the students, the teacher generally would just guide the class and allow the students more freedom in selecting the language. Creative activities are fluency based where the teacher sets a scenario and the students chose the language.
