This unit covered teaching special groups, including individuals, children, business and ESP learners, and different types of beginners. It was very useful to learn the different types of beginners (absolute, false, adult, young, and those without Roman alphabet), especially when discussing the common needs of absolute and false beginners. Another important detail from this unit was to use more reading and writing practice with beginners who don't have previous knowledge of the Roman alphabet. When learning about business/ESP classes, I found the tips about paying attention to the class dynamics of business/ESP classes (e.g. a secretary-boss dynamic) to be very helpful.
