This unit covers modals, passive voice and phrasal verbs. I learned that modals are used before other verbs to add meaning to the main verb. Modals can be used to express things like probability, obligation, advice, and permission. I learned that when using the passive voice, the active verb's object becomes the object of the passive verb. I also learned about the three types of clause groups: relative, independent, and dependent.
