This unit focused on productive skills: speaking and writing. I learned that in order to teach how to speak properly, the teacher must take into consideration fluency and accuracy. Fluency is where the students experiment with the language and accuracy is where the the students are concentrated in producing correct language. Both are equally important and come at different stages. I learned that activities that aim for accuracy will check on the students correct usage of the language in a controlled way before being used in a fluency activity.
