This unit taught about different kinds of tests and when you should give them to your students. I think that tests should be given a few times a year, with a large general exam at the end of the course to gage the students skills learned and compare it to where they were at the beginning of the class. Ideally, a student should be able to look at their placement or diagnostic test from the beginning and then the test at the end and see a difference and be proud about it. These kinds of tests are also very useful for the teacher to see where their strengths are and where their teaching may need to improve.
