This unit reviewed productive skills, which are speaking and writing. Writing is the most ignored skill in TEFL teaching, but it is still a very important skill for students to have. There are two types of activities teachers use to teach: Accuracy activities focus on producing correct language and Fluency activities focus on producing effective speech and a better flow of communication. Speaking activities may be controlled, guided or creative depending on what the teacher's goal is. The teacher should always create a comfortable atmosphere where students are encouraged to speak. When working on writing, handwriting, spelling, layout, and pronunciation are all important. The last thing we covered in this unit is games. Games are a great way to add fun to any TEFL class and they encourage students to speak and participate in a fun and comfortable environment.
