In unit 8, it introduces us about lesson planning. For inexperienced teachers, lesson planning is very helpful with the three major functions: an aid to planning, a working document which can help youth keep on target, a record of what a class has done.
While writing the lesson plan, the teacher should note that: keep it simple; structure it and maintain the same structure; do not script the lesson; write the time for each part at the margin; keep it flexible.
In the lesson plan, it should include: learner objectives, personal aims, language points, procedures, phases, timing, interaction, class level, number of the students, teaching aids, problems, date and time.
Before the class, things should be organized: check the lesson plan, check the necessary aids and materials, make sure the equipments are working, clean the board, and always be ready to chat to the students.
