This unit provides very different ways of teaching and learning that would appeal to particular teachers and students. It gives options to teachers of experience who may have become stuck in one particular method, as well as those who are finding their students are not grasping the content. I feel connected to this material. This is because I realized when I was learning Spanish in school, my teacher would use many of these techniques to make sure the language would stick to us. He was successful, because I still speak and understand the language very well. From this unit, I learned that while correction is important, it is does not take precedence over allowing students to practice and attempt creativity with the language.
