This unit provides information on authentic and created materials. It also provides many examples of created materials as well it describes the advantages and disadvantages of course books and the best ways to use and analyse them.
I found this unit very helpful as it provided examples of created materials and a source website, this was helpful because it has added to my own list of activities to engage students in the classroom and showed them rather than just describing them.
I feel I have learnt how to effectively use and adapt a provided course book which has given me a greater confidence as a new teacher.
