This unit covered how to teach receptive skills, so this includes reading and listening. Productive skills include speaking and writing. The unit discussed the reasons for listening and reading, and how we tend to read and listen (include skimming, scanning, etc.). It also talked about what to be cognizant of such as pre teaching vocabulary and making sure to use a variety of topics that capture all students interest. It also outlined a typical receptive skill lesson.
