This unit is very complicated to me personally as I never really delved this deep into the science of this area and was rather learned by speaking it on the go, it had to make sense saying it. So I learned what each modal expresses and even understood that some modals even have different levels of certainty attached to them. The table provided in the unit is an excellent demonstration on how each modal is used, in both present and past. There was also the section about active and passive voices which was very informative on methods of speech when defining certain scenarios or events. I will be keeping this unit material for future references in my teaching career.
