I found myself getting frustrated watching the first video. The teacher comes in late to his own class and then obviously looks at his lesson plan for guidance, as if he had no idea what to do today. In the first video, the teacher seems agitated and chastises students who give the wrong answers to questions he didn't bother explaining. He interrupts his own lesson to reprimand tardy students, making their lateness even more distracting. He points at some students rather than using their names.
In the second lesson, the teacher laughs and makes fun. The first thing he does is introduce himself and learns the names of his students. The teacher spends much more time during the study phase explaining the language point, and demonstrates the assignment several times clearly before handing it out.
In the first video, the teacher instructs the students to work alone, and hardly lets them utilize the subject matter of the day. I mean, they played a game that wasn't well explained, but 4 out of 5 students spent most of the game waiting for their turn to speak.
Whereas in the second video, the students work in groups of 2 and 3, and during the activate stage, all the students participate together. They had more time to practice, and it looked a lot more fun.
