This unit covered teaching special groups--so people of different language levels, or people that need English for different reasons. It discussed how to best teach beginners, and the importance of being engaging and using visual information. It is important to speak slowly and with emotion as well. It is also good to reward their successes with stickers for instance. Their attention spans are shorter so this can ensure a better lesson. It also discussed teaching for business, so business language for people in different industries. It is important to lesson plan practical material and conduct a lot of mock interview/dialogues.
