English grammar could be confusing at times, especially when it comes to using the present tenses. It's one of the areas that causes the students the most difficulties, because of the many strict rules that each present tense requires in order to be used correctly. An ESL teacher needs to have knowledge of these tenses and be able to show them examples, demonstrate how and when it's used when speaking/writing. There are 3 different times in English language (present, future and past) and each one has four aspects: simple, continuous, perfect and perfect continuous.
