This unit has given me a broad understanding of what expectations and best practices should look like from both a learning and a teaching perspective. For example, I learned that there are many more roles that a teacher can take on to assist students at different levels. Some activities, or students, may require the teacher to be a more of a model, but others may require their educator to be an assessor with less interaction to motivate more self confidence. I also appreciated the emphasis that this unit put on making sure to cater to the fact that different students may learn at different levels, but your teaching style has to be able to adapt without making anyone feel that they are being singled out.
The other major takeaway I have from this Unit is the emphasis that many adults will be in these class room environments since when many think of teaching, they think of a young mind learning something new, rather than someone who understands education adapting their learning style to understand something new.
