This lesson presented us with methods to use to teach skills rather than information, as the previous lessons had covered. Instead of teaching vocabulary, the focus of this unit was to show how we could help student develop reading and listening skills. I think the most important part of this unit was that a teacher should not attempt to teach every little word, but rather should focus on the key vocabulary needed to understand the passage or video. Also, listening is harder to teach than reading and the content used should be picked with the students interests and background in mind.
