In the first part of this unit characteristics of a good teacher are mentioned including his personality and his relation with students. Then all the roles of teacher during class are briefly explained e.g. Controller , Assessor, Model , organizer, prompter , tutor and facilitator .In my opinion a good teacher has to perform all the above mentioned roles according to the situation . He has the control of class and all the activities undertaken in the class . Moreover, he can also participate in class activities to make the learning process more efficient and comfortable. Being an assessor he can give feedback about student's performance and also can correct the students when they produce wrong English .
In the second part of this unit Qualities of good learners are described as :
A good learner in always listening attentively
A good leaner is always willing to learn
A good learner have an ability to think about their own learning plan and method
Always willing to ask questions when they feel uncertain about lesson
Always accept error correction and guidance provided in difficult parts of lesson
In third part of this unit different categories of learners are explained with respect to their age and knowledge of English language from beginner to advance level.
In last section of i Have learnt what difficulties learners face and how their problems regarding English language can be solved being a Teacher.
