This unit outlined the factors that are often found among teacher and students, as well as how different combinations of these factors can make for stronger or weaker relationships between teachers and learners. For teachers, there are various roles to be taken in the classroom, from assertive managers to hands-off facilitators. Similarly, conditions such as age, cultural background, nervousness, and motivation each influence the most effective learning methods for students. In this section, I learned about the importance of tailoring teaching strategies and approaches to the students in question, since teachers are the ones who are familiar with the material and comparably capable of being flexible with their methods.
