My first year of teaching was pretty chaotic and frightfully unorganized. I was given a diary to use but never gave it much thought. I used my phone for notes and to keep a list of worksheets that I needed to have printed, supplies, and possible audio visual aides. This method needed some work. I did learn to create lesson plan about five months into the job but I felt it overwhelming and overly detailed. It felt like more trouble than it was worth. Although the samples given in this unit are simple and easy to use. Also you can do as little or as much planning as you need which is a relief. I tend to keep an outline and just a few notes. This method would definitely help me for my future classes.
