This unit states English has three main tenses: past, future, and present. They can then be each subdivided into simple, continuous, perfect, and perfect continuous. Present simple is about facts, or habits or routines. Present continuous is about actions happening at the moment, temporary actions, things that are changing, or to emphasize frequent actions. Present perfect is about past actions that happened or are happening in an indefinite amount of time, began in the past and are still happening, or began in the past and have present results. Present perfect continuous is about an incomplete ongoing activity or a recently finished or uninterrupted activity with present results. This section was good because it gave good clear examples about the four sub-tenses that are in each of the three main tenses.
