.The future tense is one of the most complex areas of English language and Unit 8 provides the various future tenses, forms and usage. The future simple ( I shall/will ,you will ,he/she/it will, we shall/will, they will +verb ) for the affirmative form , ( I will not /shall, you will not etc ) for negative and ( shall/will I ? will you ? etc ) for question form. Some contractions ( I`ll, you`ll,shan`t etc ). I learnt that future simple tense can be used to talk about future facts and certainties promises, predictions (based on no present evidence, as opposed to "going to"), assumptions and speculations, threats etc .Worth noting that Shall is frequently used in making suggestions, invitations etc and more formal in affirmative sentences while "will" generally expresses a stronger intentions, coercion, or determination than shall. The future continuous (subject +will+be+verb +ing (present participle). It can be used to say that something is in progress at a particular time in the future, to "predict the present 'to say what we think or guess might be happening etc .In addition, the future perfect (will+ have +past participle) and is used to say that something will have been done, completed or achieved by a certain time in the future . Also the future perfect continuous tense (will +have +been +verb+ing )and used to say how long something will have continued at a certain time. Others include "be going +infinitive (going to "future) formed by (verb "to be" in the present +going to +base form of verb )and it usages (talk about intentions , predictions based on present evidence ,plans (decisions made before speaking ) etc .More teaching ideas and examples in this unit will help a lot when teaching future tenses .
