This unit is about Teachers and Learners.
Teachers: 1?To be a good teacher, we should know a good teacher's qualities: kind and patient , really loving teaching , lively and entertaining, able to motivate students, has a good subject knowledge, able to correct students, and know students' weaknesses and give help.
2?the role of a teacher: Manager or Controller, Organizer, Assessor, Prompter, Participant, Tutor, Resource or Facilitator, Model, Observer or Monitor. And we should know when to use these roles appropriately.
Learners: 1?A good learner's qualities: a willingness to listen to the language and to ask questions, a desire to experiment with the language and to learn, the ability to think about their own learning process and methods.
2?we divide students into different groups according to the age and discuss the following factors which can influence learners a lot: Learning experience, Motivation, Nervousness, Language awareness, Behavior problems, Life experience, Culture and first language, Language level.
What I have learned from this unit is how to be lively and entertaining ?and to correct them without offending them or affecting their motivation. I work as a study advisor and sometimes I just give the answer directly when students don't know how to answer questions. I have learned teacher's roles in class and how to use them correctly. Good teachers make good students. I'm sure I can be one of good teachers.
