This unit covers the techniques and reasons for teaching the equally important receptive and productive skills in an ESA lesson. Receptive skills are reading and listening. Productive skills are speaking and writing. Reading, listening, speaking, and writing are all essential to the successfully efficient use of a new language, here in particular, English. However, mastering reading and listening greatly elicits and elevates greater capacity to learning and understanding the spoken and written form of the new language for the learner. By this, this unit urges the teacher's familiarity of their students' interests in topics and problem points, thereby varying the topics and pre-teaching problem vocabulary to facilitate a more interesting, motivating, and accomplished lesson.
