In all languages, we can define 4 basic skills: reading and listening (receptive skills), and speaking and writing (productive skills). All those skills are equally important and should be used in a balanced/efficient way during a lesson.
In this unit, we focused only on receptive skills (listening and reading) that can be divided into two main categories: for a purpose, or for entertainment only.
However, the receptive skills could not be enough to fully understand an information: we also have to consider the environment/context of the given information, and some previous knowledge could sometimes be necessary.
