Your answer: Even with the availability of course materials and books, the teacher would prefer at times to either replace or supplement irrelevant sections with more relevant and interesting (authentic and/or created) materials. Despite the numerous advantages of course books, it may not be the choice of the teacher and/or the students. In that case the teacher will either OMIT certain lessons of the book or REPLACE unsuitable materials with more appropriate ones or SUPPLEMENT with extra materials or ADAPT his/her own way and style using the same materials.
