This last unit is about common problem situations teachers of English can encounter. The followings are the problems with some suggestions. The first lesson classes can be problematic. The teacher might face a new group in which he or she needs to establish rapport between the class members. And in this case a teacher should try activities that will establish rapport, allow the teacher to find out about the students and their needs and Aspirations, find out about their English level. There are many activities that can be applied such as questionnaire and so on. The teacher should inspire the students before starting the class by warmers. The different levels of the students in a group causes a big problem to a teacher. And a good teacher should try different ways to deal with it. He can use different materials or same materials but different tasks, pair stronger students with the weaker ones. Large class also can create a problem for teachers but they can employ these techniques : they can use worksheets, pair or group work, audible voice and clear visible boardwork, choral repetition , appoint group leaders and the dynamic. The use of native language is problematic too in monolingual classes. A teacher should make sure the activities used are at an appropriate level and that the explanations are clear to all class members, encourage the use of English, only respond in English and constantly remind the students. Reluctant students can be a problem. A teacher can use plenty of pair work, use controlled practice,, role-play, and use a tape recorder. Difficulties with listening. Many students face this problem. Teacher should work with them to improve their listening skills.
