Some basic errors the teacher deliberately made in the first video: first, according to the selected vocabularies, there isn’t appropriacy to the students. He tends to use words that aren’t suitable for them. The meaning wasn’t clear to students. Spelling mistakes, the teachability wasn’t good: it wasn’t clear to the students, the body gesture wasn’t quite good, the classroom management wasn’t perfect: the teacher just gave some attention to some students in the activate stage. The teacher didn’t even know his students names. The way he elicit answer was bad, the teacher attitude to some students wasn’t friendly. And so on.
However, in the second video, the teacher started the class with and engage phase starting with a small instruction about himself then he tried to get to know the students and then talked things you can see and do in some places and what you have to do and don’t have to. There is appropriacy to the students, the sentence structures are very simple, his pronunciation is very clear, he didn’t make spelling mistakes, and his body gesture is perfect. The classroom management was fantastic; his used the students name at the end of the sentence. The students were happy, excited and their objectives were reached.
These two video really help me to know how effective a teacher can be in the class when their performance comes as needed.
