This unit covers effective teaching techniques. After watching both videos, it is clear that the teacher in the second lesson has a stronger teacher presence as well as stronger rapport with the students. This stronger presence and rapport make a huge difference in helping students learn as the students in the second video are more engaged with the lesson. Teacher preparation is also very important because the teacher came in without writing anything on the board in the first video; but in the second video, the teacher came in with the engage part of the lesson written out so as to spark the students' interest before the teacher walked in. I aspire to be the teacher in the second video.
