Planning lessons. There are some reasons why we should plan our lessons before the teaching performance. Some of those reasons are, to create a logical sequence for the lesson, working document, a record and this record can be used for covering.
Some general information about the class and what should happen during the lesson are what should be written down is lesson planning. However there are some principles of lesson planning such as, it should be kept simple, should be flexible and, shouldn’t be scripted, and so on.
The following things are what is recommended to be included in a lesson plan: learner objectives, personal aims, language point, teaching aids, anticipated problems, procedure, phase, timing, interaction, class level, number of student, date and time and teacher’s and observer’s name.
How the activities work is by a demonstration of the process of the activity, eliciting a correct answer for a particular question, and then giving out the material.
There are things a teacher can do while the activity is taking place, a teacher can go around the class without interrupting, can monitor their progress, can pick up on some errors but leave it for the feedback stage.
