This part is about the receptive skills – reading and listening skills. The reasons and motives for reading and listening skills are as following. They are as following: predictive skills, specific information –scanning, general idea- skimming, detailed information, and deduction from context. Some potential problems could happen in the reading and listening lessons. The sentence length, word length and the structure, for the reading lessons. for the listening lessons; the flow of the information, the speed of speech and the teacher’s accent. Things to do to avoid these problems are pre-teach vocabulary and grammar, very careful selection of texts, the choice of the topic, and creating interest before starting.
