This unit discussed phonetics, a topic I have never really studied closely. The unit went over how we stress certain syllables and the natural intonation used by people. How we stress a word can impact how a person responds. Furthermore, the unit went over different techniques for teaching students intonation, which included things like nonsense words, gestures, and humming. Another interesting topic it covered was linked speech, which is something native speakers do all the time.
