Unit 14 - Coursebooks and lesson materials. The unit covers the use of course books and lesson materials in classroom. The materials used are of two types: authentic and created materials. Advantages and disadvantages of using both types of materials are presented. The unit presents a wide range of created materials that can be used in classroom and also a good source for making your own crosswords and word searches. The unit defines the course books and presents the advantages and disadvantages of using course books. Also presented are the four different options for course book use. I have learnt from this unit how to analyze a course book, what to look at before buying one for my students. I have also learnt how to make the best use of course books. I will always explore ways to match the books that I buy to the needs of my students.
