This unit was a broad overview of the parts of speech. I learned the official names of each category, and its function. A useful thing I learned was that there are often sub-categories of each part of speech. For example, within nouns, there are countable and uncountable nouns. Within prepositions, there are different types: time/date, movement, and place. Additionally, within adjectives there are comparative and superlative adjectives. This information is very helpful to know when trying to explain it to someone who is learning the rules of English for the first time.
