This was a very informative introduction concerning the teachers and learners involved in studying English as a second or foreign language. The teacher takes on many roles inside the classroom. Realizing and identifying the different levels of a student’s progress would be most beneficial in our approach and methods of teaching. Of all the thoughts considered in the unit, the one thing that kept coming to my mind was that a teacher is to be a role model, mentor and example to the student and the relationship between the teacher and student is vitally important.
