In this unit, I learned specific information about what makes a good teacher and a good learner. As a teacher, I learned terminology to describe the different roles that I will have in a classroom. I became more aware of how to properly embody these roles in the classroom. I distinguished between different kinds of language learners. Finally, reasons for which students learn English were emphasized in order to allow me to see what students need. Levels of English mastery were delineated, to show me how learners advance through language learning.
